Architecture, Engineering and Consulting Firm Expands to Occupy
56,728 SF in Ally Center

Charlotte, NC – June 1, 2011 – Trinity Partners is pleased to announce the expansion of HDR in downtown Charlotte’s Ally Center. With the additional 8,444 SF on the 8th and 9th Floors, HDR will now occupy 56,728 SF on Ally Center’s 8th through 10th floors. Trinity Partners’ Leah Bailey represented the owner and Jeff Harper of Jones Lang LaSalle represented HDR in the transaction. HDR is an employee-owned architecture, engineering and consulting firm founded in 1917. The firm employs over 7,800 professionals in over 185 locations. The Ally Center location is one of four North Carolina offices for the company.  Ally Center has 150,000 of contiguous square feet available for lease.

“We are thrilled that HDR is growing as a company and expanding within the building,” said Bailey. “They’ve been a fantastic tenant from the day we first opened the doors, and we look forward to many more years with them in the building.”

HDR first moved into Ally Center when the building opened in December 2009.  Originally named 440 South Church, the building is the first Core and Shell building in the state of North Carolina to receive the US Green Building Council’s LEED Gold Certification. Additional tenants include Ally Bank, Public Consulting Group, and Trinity Partners.  Ally Center recently announced the Fall opening of HaSaki Grill, a fast-casual Asian hibachi restaurant on the first floor, and has signed a letter of intent for another restaurant to be announced with the next several weeks. The building is owned by Trinity Capital Advisors and leased and managed by Trinity Partners.
