NASCAR Plaza to Begin Work on New Signage for NASCAR
Charlotte, NC – November 20, 2012 – The iconic NASCAR sign atop NASCAR Plaza will soon shift from monochromatic to full color, as work begins soon on an updated NASCAR sign for the building. The sign will be installed over the course of the month of December, and will be completed at the end of the year.
The downtown Charlotte building has been in the spotlight recently after the ownership group, Charlotte’s Trinity Capital Advisors and Philadelphia’s Rubenstein Partners, announced that they have entered into an agreement with Parkway Properties to sell the building. The off-market transaction is expected to be concluded by the end of the year.
“We’ve enjoyed working with NASCAR on enhancing and upgrading their signage on the building,” noted Gregory Schild, the Director of Asset Management for Trinity Capital.
The roofline sign work will begin the last week of November and continue through December, and will be fully functional by December 31st. Hilton Displays is installing the sign.
“As we look forward to the 2013 NASCAR season, we’re pleased that we’ll start the year with the full-color version of the iconic NASCAR brand logo brightening the beautiful Charlotte skyline,” says NASCAR Chief Marketing Officer Steve Phelps.
