Trinity Capital Announces New Lease, SGL CARBON, LLC at the Linville Building in Perimeter Woods

Trinity Capital announced today that it has signed a new 24,678 square foot tenant, SGL Carbon, LLC, at The Linville Building. The company will be located on the fifth floor.
Perimeter Woods is a 760,000 square foot master planned mixed-use development designed around a pedestrian lifestyle offering office tenants the opportunity to Live, Work and Play. The first phase of the development is The Linville Building, which is a 125,000 square foot, five-story, Class A building. Surrounding The Linville Building are 310,000 square feet of retail amenities and an additional l.2MM square feet of retail within walking distance at Northlake Mall.
SGL Group – the Carbon Company – is one of the world ‘s leading manufacturers of carbon-based products. It has a comprehensive portfolio ranging from carbon and graphite products to carbon fibers and composites. With forty production sites in Europe, North America and Asia as well as a service network covering more than 100 countries, the company employees 6,000 people around the world with approximately 1,200 employees in North America.
SGL Group was looking for a building and development that reflected the headquarter status of its company in North America. Important factors included a well-located site that would allow for ease of access to Charlotte’s business district and the airport, as well as its employee’s neighborhoods.
Warren Snowdon, SIOR, was the broker with the Charlotte office of Commercial Carolina Member Cushman & Wakefield Alliance who represented SGL Carbon, LLC in the lease transaction. Charles Jonas of Trinity Partners represented the Landlord in this transaction.
