Denis Sullivan is a Managing Partner of Foundation, a Trinity Capital Portfolio Company. Denis brings a wealth of life science real estate knowledge to Foundation with over 18 years of industry experience. Denis is one of Foundation’s Managing Partners, focused on the firm’s origination and structuring of new investments. Prior to Foundation, Denis was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Foundation Capital Ventures, and has completed more than $30 billion in life science real estate capital markets transactions across both the United States and United Kingdom, inclusive of wide range of acquisitions, developments, and financings. Denis previously served as Chief Investment Officer at BioMed Realty (“BMR”), a Blackstone portfolio company, and as BMR’s Chief Financial Officer during his more than sixteen years working with the company. He was part of the leadership team which took BMR private in a transaction which valued the company at $8 billion in 2016 and worked closely with the team at Blackstone over the ensuing five years in numerous capacities which culminated in the recapitalization of the company in 2020 at a value of approximately $15 billion. Prior to his tenure at BMR, Denis was a member of the real estate investment banking group at Raymond James & Associates where he provided advisory services to public and private companies. Denis received a Master of Business Administration with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
