Charlotte-based real estate firm Trinity Capital Advisors recently announced two personnel moves in an effort to support the company’s growth.

Sean McKinley is the firm’s new Chief Financial Officer. McKinley has been with Trinity Capital for over five years. Prior to his new role, McKinley was responsible for sourcing investments, debt and equity relationships, and due diligence and structuring of the company’s investments. As Chief Financial Officer, McKinley will oversee asset management, debt and equity capital sourcing, accounting and reporting, underwriting, and due diligence for the company’s portfolio. Prior to Trinity Capital, McKinley worked with Laureate Capital and Deloitte (formerly Deloitte & Touche). He earned his undergraduate degrees from University of Kentucky, a master’s in Accounting from University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a master’s in Real Estate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

After over ten years with sister company Trinity Partners, Sherrie Chaffin is now Trinity Capital’s Director of Development. Chaffin worked with Trinity Capital in her role as Trinity Partners’ Vice President of Project Management. In her new position, she will lead Trinity Capital’s efforts in sourcing and managing office, industrial and mixed use development projects. Before her work with Trinity Partners and Trinity Capital, Chaffin worked with Bank of America and Lincoln Harris. She is LEED AP certified and earned a BS in Design from Auburn University’s College of Architecture.

“We’re excited to support the growth of both of these talented individuals,” said Gary Chesson, partner at Trinity Capital. “They both exemplify the commitment to excellence that defines our firm.”

Trinity Capital Advisors is a real estate investment firm that acquires and develops office, industrial, and mixed-use real estate in the Southeastern United States markets of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, and Tennessee. Trinity Capital invests directly from its series of real estate investment funds, and also partners with institutional investors to build or improve the workplace real estate in which it invests. Trinity Capital’s investment platform has two primary competitive advantages:  through its sister company, Trinity Partners, the firm is connected to the marketplace, making the majority of its investments off-market, and Trinity Capital’s operating platform puts the firm closer to each investment, allowing it to produce outstanding returns for investor partners. Trinity Capital is currently investing out of Trinity Capital Value Fund III.
