July 20, 2011
Fast-Casual Restaurant to Open Fall 2011
Charlotte, NC – July 20, 2011 – Ally Center is pleased to announce its newest tenant, American Roadside Burgers (www.americanroadside.com), a tribute to the American roadside burger stands of the past. The fast-casual restaurant will open on the building’s first floor in mid-fall of 2011, occupying 2,317 square feet.
“The decision to select Ally Center for our first Charlotte location was based on a combination of location, economics, and timing,” offered Rich LaVecchia, Chairman and CEO of ARB. “We feel fortunate to be situated within the cultural center of Uptown, and look forward to working with the professionals at Trinity Partners.”
ARB will feature premium beef burgers, along with turkey and veggie burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, and a variety of fresh salads. Side items will include french fries, onion rings, mac & cheese, and housemade slaw. A full dessert menu including milkshakes and ARB’s Lugnuts (warm donuts with powdered sugar) rounds out the menu. ARB will also offer beer and wine.
The fast-casual concept is the first location in North Carolina for the restaurant group, with a second location coming in late 2011 to Charlotte’s SouthPark submarket. The Ally Center location will seat 70 inside (including the bar seating) and offer patio seating for up to 50. The restaurant features a nostalgic “Made in America” feel, featuring such sustainable design elements as reclaimed barn siding and floors and chairs made from recycled materials. David Wagner of Wagner Murray Architects is working with ARB to design the space.
Keely Lane of Merrifield Patrick Vermillion represented the landlord, Trinity Capital Advisors. Bill Diehl, III of Diehl Properties, LLC represented ARB. Ally Center is a 15-story, 365,000 square foot building located at 440 South Church Street in the heart of the cultural campus in downtown Charlotte, NC. Developed by Trinity Capital Advisors and managed by Trinity Partners Management, Ally Center was completed in October of 2009 and is North Carolina’s first LEED Gold Certified Core and Shell building. Ally Bank’s Charlotte headquarters is located in the building along with architecture, engineering, and consulting firm HDR. HaSaki Grill, a fast-casual fresh hibachi restaurant, is scheduled to open in August of 2011.
