Trinity Capital Advisors grows Charlotte team, hires Matthew Houchins

Charlotte-based commercial real estate investor and developer, Trinity Capital Advisors (TCA), welcomes its newest Vice President of Finance, Acquisitions & Development, Matthew Houchins.

The Charlotte native will play an integral role in the execution of Trinity Capital’s investment activities. His responsibilities include acquisitions, structuring, business plan implementation, and oversight of Trinity Capital’s underwriting and due diligence processes.

“We’re excited to have Matthew join Trinity Capital,” Walker Collier, TCA Partner, said. “Matthew’s entrepreneurial attitude and strong background in acquisitions and asset management are a good fit for TCA and will certainly create success in future investment activities.”

Most recently, Matthew was an associate in the US Real Estate group with Goldman Sachs in Dallas, Texas, where he was responsible for all aspects of new acquisition activity and asset management of an existing portfolio, focusing on office and industrial assets throughout the United States. During this time, Matthew held oversight responsibilities for a 2-million SF office portfolio and closed on $720 million in acquisitions.

“I always thought I would return to my hometown of Charlotte,” Houchins said. “I am fortunate the opportunity with TCA came about at the right time and we both felt we were a good fit for each other. Trinity Capital’s track record and reputation in the Carolinas and beyond were attractive to me as I thought about how to best take the next step in my career.”
