Trinity Capital acquired the 33-story, 584,315 SF building in 2014 and implemented an extensive capital improvement plan including lobby and corridor renovations, chiller and cooling tower replacement, elevator renovations, parking deck improvements, and the addition of a 4,000 SF fitness center with full-service locker rooms. A retail renovation that attracted high-profile restaurant tenants and popular events like Yoga on the Deck and Movies on the Deck re-energized the building and downtown Charlotte’s Church Street corridor. Trinity Capital and DRA Advisors sold the building in 2018 to Oaktree Capital, with Trinity Capital retaining an ownership stake in partnership with Oaktree.
