Nascar Plaza, Office Tower Acquisition
Charlotte, NC · Status: ACTIVE

Trinity Capital Advisors acquired a 20 story, 390,000 SF downtown Charlotte office tower in December of 2010 that is anchored by Nascar.

Nascar Plaza is a LEED certified, Class A office tower that is one of the newest additions to the Charlotte CBD skyline. The building is currently 37% leased to Nascar and several other tenants. Nascar Plaza was designed by world renowned architect Pei Cobb Freed, and is considered one of downtown Charlotte's landmark office buildings.

 

Capital Center, Office Building Acquistion
Raleigh, NC · Status: ACTIVE

In December of 2010, Trinity Capital acquired a 5 story, 157,000 SF office building in Raleigh, NC, located in the West Raleigh submarket. Capital Center was 70% leased at the time of acquisition. GE Capital financed the acquisition and Trinity formed a joint venture with the Dilweg Companies to acquire the asset.

 

Ally Center - New Office Tower Development
Charlotte, NC · Status: ACTIVE

Trinity Capital Advisors developed a 15 story, 375,000 SF downtown Charlotte office tower in 2009 that is anchored by Ally Bank. This office building is part of a mixed use development located in the same block with Catalyst, a 460 unit condominium tower.

The office tower is located immediately adjacent to Duke Power's downtown headquarters and across the street from Duke Energy Center, a new $1.0 billion mixed use development. Duke Energy Center includes a new 1.4 million square foot Class A office tower, two museums, a new downtown performing arts theater, and 30,000 square feet of retail amenities. Further, Ally Center is adjacent to the new 5 acre downtown park, which will be a significant amenity for the center city, and the new downtown baseball stadium, set to open in 2012.

 

Perimeter Woods - New Office Building Development
Charlotte, NC · Status: ACTIVE

In March of 2007, Trinity Capital Advisors began construction on a 125,000 square foot, five story Class A office building in Trinity Capital Advisors's newest mixed use development, Perimeter Woods. This office building was the first of three developed in the park, and was delivered in January of 2008. Within Perimeter Woods, this building is surrounded by numerous retail amenities, including an adjacent restaurant and small shop space across the internal boulevard. Directly across the street, the 1.5 M square foot Northlake Mall will provide countless amenities for tenants of this office building.

The exterior finishes for One Perimeter Woods will include architectural precast concrete panels with sandblasted and exposed aggregate finishes, along with ornamental stone accents. The entry lobby of this Class A building has granite flooring with Cherry wood paneling along the accent walls. The second office building in Perimeter Woods will also be five stories and 125,000 square feet, and the third building will have structured parking, and will be eight stories and 200,000 square feet.

 

500 West Trade Street - Office Building Acquisition
Charlotte, NC · Status: SOLD

In April of 2006, Trinity Capital Advisors acquired a 105,000 SF office building in downtown Charlotte from the State of North Carolina. Originally, TCA explored renovating and re-tenanting the office building, but quickly began exploring a larger high rise mixed use development on the site. In May of 2008, Trinity Capital Advisors contributed the majority of its interest in the property to a partnership with a local multi-family developer (refer to Mixed Use Developments).

 

Perimeter Woods - Office/Warehouse and Land Acquisition
Charlotte, NC · Status: ACTIVE

In April of 2002, the principals of TCA formed a joint venture with a retail developer and acquired Perimeter Woods Office Park, a 100-acre business park with 310,000 sf contained in four office/warehouse buildings, including 60 acres of undeveloped, improved land. Perimeter Woods is located at the intersection of Reames Road and I-77, directly across Reames Road from Northlake Mall, scheduled to open in 2005.

Originally developed in 1990 as an office/warehouse development, Perimeter Woods was most recently owned by Trizec Properties, a U.S. office REIT.
